New AMS entrants
easyJet has informed the unions that a total of 59 new colleagues will be joining the AMS base in the coming months. The first base day is scheduled for Friday, March 27. We look forward to welcoming them, and we encourage you to give them a warm VNC welcome!
Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) requirement UK travel
From April 2nd, 2025, visitors without UK immigration status or a short-stay visa will be required to apply for Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). Cabin crew in uniform do not need an ETA. However, crew members traveling to the UK for office duties or training must hold a valid ETA. The costs for applying for an ETA can be reimbursed via Workday. More information is available on the UK Government website.
Rosters
Over the past months, we have received concerns and complaints regarding the AMS rosters. Thank you for sharing your feedback! We have discussed these issues with the relevant departments, and one of the measures taken is to increase the number of new entrants and standby levels.
Cabin Managers may have noticed an increase in scheduled FA duties on their April roster. easyJet states that there is currently a surplus of CM positions, and many of the scheduled FA duties serve as placeholders. Keep an eye on your roster for any changes.
Another concern raised is the repetitive 4/2 roster pattern for crew on flexi roster and the lack of implementation of iBid preferences. We have escalated this issue to the company.
To address these concerns, easyJet’s roster team will visit the AMS base on April 24th for a roster stand-up session. Crew members can attend in person or join via Teams to discuss any questions or concerns regarding AMS rosters.
Changes to pay slip
easyJet has introduced a new payroll provider for the Dutch payroll. While the payroll process remains unchanged, you may notice some differences in your pay slip. All AMS crew members received a detailed explanation from the Payroll department on Thursday, March 27. If you have any questions about your new pay slip, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
VNC easyJet CLA survey
A quick reminder: In preparation for the upcoming CLA negotiations, we ask all our members to complete the CLA survey. The survey closes on April 1st.
