De cao-onderhandelingen voor easyJet Cabin Crew zijn gestart. In deze nieuwsbrief blikken we terug op de eerste onderhandelingsbijeenkomst en geven we een update over de tweede bijeenkomst, die op 28 september plaatsvond.

AMS easyJet Cabin Crew CAO-onderhandelingen
Op woensdag 9 september ontvingen we de delegaties van easyJet en FNV op het VNC-kantoor voor de eerste onderhandelingsbijeenkomst over de nieuwe cao.

Tijdens deze bijeenkomst hebben de vakbonden hun voorstellen met easyJet besproken. Onze voorstellenbrief is gebaseerd op de inbreng van onze leden tijdens informatiesessies, enquêtes en persoonlijke gesprekken.

De eerste bijeenkomst verliep in een goede sfeer. We hebben de verschillende onderwerpen uit onze voorstellenbrief toegelicht en uitgebreid besproken. Ook was er ruimte om vragen te stellen en standpunten verder toe te lichten. Tijdens deze eerste bijeenkomst zijn nog geen concrete afspraken gemaakt.

Vervolg onderhandelingen
Op maandag 28 september vond de tweede onderhandelingsbijeenkomst over de nieuwe cao plaats. Tijdens deze bijeenkomst hebben we onze voorstellen verder toegelicht. easyJet stelde verdiepende vragen om een duidelijk beeld te krijgen van onze voorstellen.

De bijeenkomst begon met een presentatie over de huidige situatie van de basis in Amsterdam en de verwachtingen voor de komende periode. Daarbij liet easyJet weten dat de basis Amsterdam op dit moment verlies maakt. Volgens easyJet komt dit vooral door de hoge vliegbelasting en de kosten op Schiphol

easyJet onderzoekt mogelijkheden om de resultaten in Amsterdam te verbeteren. Een ontwikkeling die daarbij al zichtbaar is, is een verschuiving in het netwerk: meer vluchten naar verder gelegen bestemmingen en minder vluchten naar het Verenigd Koninkrijk en andere bestemmingen op kortere afstand.

De volgende onderhandelingsbijeenkomst staat gepland op dinsdag 13 oktober. easyJet heeft laten weten tijdens deze bijeenkomst in ieder geval met een reactie te komen op onze financiële voorstellen, waaronder loon. Na deze bijeenkomst informeren we jullie weer over de voortgang.

Tijdens de onderhandelingen blijven we jullie uiteraard op de hoogte houden van belangrijke ontwikkelingen.

Jullie inbreng blijft daarbij belangrijk. We horen graag wat er speelt en welke onderwerpen voor jullie van belang zijn. Heb je iets dat je bij ons onder de aandacht wilt brengen? Laat het ons weten. Ook tijdens de onderhandelingen kunnen we nieuwe onderwerpen of voorstellen inbrengen als daar aanleiding voor is.

Crew food tasting AMS
Op donderdag 24 september waren vertegenwoordigers van de vakbonden en de Ondernemingsraad aanwezig bij de crew food tasting bij Newrest in Schiphol-Rijk. Hier hebben we de lunch en de ontbijt- en dineropties voor het komende winterseizoen geproefd en geselecteerd.

Bij de keuzes hebben we jullie feedback meegenomen. De aanwezige vertegenwoordigers deelden hun ervaringen vanuit de cabine en cockpit.

Voor het verse ontbijt is gekozen voor een spelt-bananenpannenkoek met verse aardbeien, ahornsiroop en vanillesaus. Verder komen er een kaneelpudding en een frittata.

Ook bij de overige producten verandert er iets. Het aantal Breakers-yoghurts wordt verhoogd naar vier en de peer verdwijnt uit het assortiment. Het patisserie-assortiment bestaat straks uit pastéis de nata, chocoladecroissants en gewone croissants.

In de rest van het assortiment verandert weinig. Met deze aanpassingen hopen we dat het aanbod tijdens jullie diensten beter aansluit bij jullie wensen.

easyJet Update – September 2026

The CLA negotiations for easyJet Cabin Crew have started. In this newsletter, we look back at the first negotiation meeting and share an update on the second meeting, which took place on 28 September.

AMS easyJet Cabin Crew CLA negotiations
On Wednesday 9 September, we welcomed the easyJet and FNV delegations to the VNC office for the first negotiation meeting on the new CLA.

During this meeting, the unions discussed their proposals with easyJet. Our proposal letter is based on input from our members gathered through information sessions, surveys and individual conversations.

The first meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere. We explained and discussed the various topics included in our proposal letter in more detail. There was also an opportunity to ask questions and clarify the different positions. No concrete agreements were reached during this first meeting.

Second negotiation meeting
On Monday 28 September, the second negotiation meeting on the new CLA took place. During the meeting, we provided further clarification on our proposals. easyJet asked more detailed questions to gain a clear understanding of the proposals we have put forward.

The meeting began with a presentation on the current situation at the Amsterdam base and the outlook for the coming period. easyJet explained that the Amsterdam base is currently operating at a loss. According to easyJet, this is mainly due to the high air passenger tax and the costs associated with operating at Schiphol Airport.

easyJet is exploring ways to improve the financial performance of the Amsterdam base. One development that is already becoming visible is a shift in the network, with more flights to destinations further afield and fewer flights to the UK and other short-haul destinations.

The next negotiation meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 13 October. easyJet has stated that during this meeting it will respond to our financial proposals, including our proposal on pay. We will update you on the progress of the negotiations after the meeting.

Throughout the negotiations, we will continue to keep you informed of important developments.

Your input remains important. We want to hear what is happening at the base and which topics matter to you. If there is anything you would like to bring to our attention, please let us know. We can also introduce new topics or proposals during the negotiations if there is a reason to do so.

AMS crew food tasting
On Thursday 24 September, representatives from the unions and the Works Council attended the crew food tasting at Newrest in Schiphol-Rijk. We tasted and selected the lunch and the accompanying breakfast and dinner options for the coming winter season.

We took your feedback into account when making these choices. The representatives attending the tasting shared their experiences from both the cabin and the flight deck.

For the fresh breakfast option, we selected a spelt and banana pancake with fresh strawberries, maple syrup and vanilla sauce. A cinnamon pudding and a frittata will also be added.

There will also be a few changes to the other products. The number of Breaker yoghurts will increase to four and the pear will be removed from the selection. The pastry selection will consist of pastéis de nata, chocolate croissants and plain croissants.

There will be few changes to the rest of the selection. We hope these adjustments will make the crew food offering better suited to your preferences during your duties.
