easyJet update May

31 mei 2024

Following our latest monthly meeting held on the 21st of May we want to update you on the latest developments in AMS base.

Language alleviation
We understand the concerns raised by the potential reintroduction of the local language requirement in the Netherlands. We understand that opinions on the matter may vary, however we ask all of our colleagues to approach the topic and each other with respect. Currently, discussions with the company are ongoing, as we believe any changes to this protocol should benefit all employees. We’ll keep you informed as more information becomes available.

5453
AMS cabin crew members have the option to opt out of the 5453-roster pattern trial introduced from April 1, 2024, and return to the FRV pattern from April 1, 2025.  Any cabin crew currently on FRV that wished to opt in for 5453 from the next leave year can also sign up. You’ll receive an email from easyJet with more information and a link to the online opting in/out form. Requests for opting in/out need to be completed by June 30, 2024. Please ensure that you read through all the terms and conditions, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Transfer list
In our April newsletter we communicated that the transfer list would open on May 20. Unfortunately, easyJet hasn’t been able to meet their deadline and it has been moved to Thursday May 30, 0900 UTC. For more information on requesting transfers, refer to the Cabin Crew Transfers form on the Connected Portal and section 2.8 of the Cabin Services Protocol Manual. After form submission, you’ll receive a confirmation, we recommend that you also make a screenshot of your personal records.

Disruption payment
Today is deadline for submitting backdated disruption claims from April 1 to April 30, 2024. All disruption incurred after May 1 must be submitted within 14 days after the occurrence. You can find the Roster Disruption Guide on the AMS base page on the Connected portal.
