easyJet update July
In our newsletter we keep you informed about anything related to your CLA, this month it’s about:
– Career breaks
– Opting out of your 5453 roster
Career breaks
The CLA offers two career break (non-activity) options for the AMS cabin crew:
- A 3 month continuous career break
This career break is available from November 1 to March 31 of each year, and it is available for 1 cabin manager and 1 flight attendant. This break needs to be applied for at least 2 months prior to the start of the career break.
- 1 year continuous career break
This break is available for 1 cabin manager and 1 flight attendant. Start date will be at least 2 full months from request date and are available on a first come, first served basis. The career break needs to start before 1 April 2025, however, it can start from 1 November 2024.
Any granted career break can only be withdrawn under specific circumstances, like long-term sickness. During your career break there will be no pay, and no contributions from easyJet towards pension and other benefits that you might enjoy.
Any crew that would like to apply for a career break can do so via the form that will be emailed to your company email. The form will be available from August 8th 2024 at 09.00L.
If you have any questions about the career breaks, feel free to reach out to us.
Opting out of your 5453 roster
In our June newsletter we have informed our members that opting out of 5453 has been delayed until August. At this time we do not have an exact date available, but easyJet still has it scheduled for August. Any crew eligible to opt out will receive an email from the company in the coming month with detailed information on the opting out process. As soon as more information becomes available we will share it with our members.
